Chicago Fire have re-signed Luis Solignac to a two-year contract, with an additional third year option for the club. The 25 year-old started the 2016 campaign with Colorado Rapids before coming to Chicago via a trade including General Allocation Money. Since his arrival in the Windy City, he has played 13 games and scored two goals.
With this deal completed, Chicago now has five strikers heading into the SuperDraft on Friday, January 13th. There are some rumors swirling about Chicago looking at a forward in the draft, but general manager Nelson Rodríguez has simply stated that the team is considering all options. If one thing is for sure, the front office is keeping a close eye on the proceedings at the Combine, right now.
